Your finish of it is beautiful. I can't answer as a sampler stitcher, but as an artist I can tell you that you should definitely sign your work. :) It's also fine to stick to the design and put the charted "olde" name in, but find somewhere on the piece to wedge in your initials and a date.
:)

What a wonderful gift! :o Thanks for sharing pics with us. :)Berithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02270446862298837353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2293399242092873784.post-26427495049693609822010-11-08T09:04:38.241-05:002010-11-08T09:04:38.241-05:00Congrats on completing another block, its lovely

My brother just bought a new house in Virginia that backs up to woods and is totally freaked out by the amount of deer they have coming through their yard. He's instructed his wife to throw herself in front of their 2 & 4 year old daughters if need be. LOL Like, an attack deer or something. LOL

We didn't get as many Halloween trick or treaters this year, either! My family was happy for the candy but disappointed in the turn out. I think the Autumn and Christmas ones top the list for me though!

I know this is way after Halloween - we had 80+ kids which is more usual for us. The weather was good, then started raining around 8:30/9pm which was perfect because it sent the little and big kids home to go to sleep and get ready for school the next day. I have never seen a groundhog before, it looks quite cute. This is only the second year we have bought sweets for halloween as it has only just started to become popular here. We live in the middle of nowhere and usually only two boys from a nearby farm drop in but some new people with two children moved to the village recently and they came over too. Nine sounds like an awful lot to me but I suppose it depends on where you live and how many kids there are.
kind regards,
ShirleyShirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02686744139490983033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2293399242092873784.post-6718650594275653242010-11-04T10:10:32.765-04:002010-11-04T10:10:32.765-04:00I personally don't think there is anything wro...I personally don't think there is anything wrong with stitching your own name or initials and the current year.
